Parkswood Dressmaking For Fun Classes 2010/11

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and had a good summer. I am sure you have all finished sewing last years garments and are itching to start on your winter collections.

The new classes are as follows:

Dressmaking for Fun
Classes start Wednesday 8th September 2-5pm
Saturday 11th September 2-5pm
Each class cost 25 euros per session you attend.
As before, these classes are for beginners and improvers, each person goes at their own pace with lots of help. The classes are small and informal. If you have just brought a sewing machine and want to learn how to use it, or just want to take up the skill of dressmaking again, this is the perfect class for you.
Of course those who want to continue from last term are very welcome.

Dressmaking for Fun Advanced
Classes start 10th September
Friday morning 10-1pm
Each class cost 25 euros per session you attend
This class is for those who have good sewing skills and wish to take their knowledge further. In these classes we will do pattern adaptation, couture dress making techniques, soft tailoring and fitting. You will be shown the tips on how to make your garments achieve a more professional finish

Four Week Fashion Design Course
Starting Saturday 11th September 10-1pm
Cost is 25 euros each session
This course will show you how to create an actual ‘Fashion Design’ and help you put your ideas onto paper. I will show you how to source your form of inspiration, and improve your drawing skills. The course will give you the confidence to design your own look

Bag Making Course
Saturday 30th October 10-1pm
Saturday 6th November 10-1pm
The cost for the two sessions is 50 euros
This course is run over two Saturday mornings, and its great fun. With the two session you will easily make a wonderful unique bag, learning new sewing skills along the way.

The Perfect Fitting Trousers
Saturday13th November 10-1pm
Saturday 20th November 10-1pm
The cost for the two sessions is 50 euros
You will learn how to make a pattern to your own figure. Using my trouser blocks you will be able to cut out, make and fit the perfect fitting trousers, time and time again.

Perfect Christmas Gifts
Saturday 27th November 10-1pm
Saturday 4th December 10-1pm
The cost of the two session course is 50 euros
This course will give you lots of ideas for gifts that you can make from fabrics for Christmas time, I can supply you with Christmas fabrics or you can bring your own. You will easily create a variety of unique and personnel presents for your friends and family at a low budget.
