DRESSMAKING FOR FUN WEEKLY CLASSES.

These classes run on every Wednesday and Friday morning from 10-1pm. The classes are designed for mixed ability, so everybody will be given individual attention. You pay as you attend each class and can swap days. You work on your own project, at your own speed.

ONE DAY WORKSHOPS

Getting to know your sewing machine

This is always a popular workshop. You will cover how to use your sewing machine to its full potential. if you have just brought a sewing machine or, just want to get more from the one you already have, this workshop is for you. I cover zips buttonholes and lots more

Perfect fitting trousers

You will be shown how to make a pattern to fit your measurements. You will be able to adapt your pattern to different shapes and styles

Fashion design

This course is for those who wish to take their ideas one step further or, interested in going into the world of fashion. You will be shown how to put your ideas down onto paper drawing, with templates

Pattern adaptation

You will be shown how to get the most out of commercial patterns. Then how to create your own ideas to achieve a more original, and professional garment.

Bags bags bags

This is a fun workshop in which you will make a bag. You can bring along fabrics of your own, to match an outfit of your own. I have a selection of free fabrics, to make various bag shapes. I also cover simple hat shapes to compliment the bags.

Skirts

We will cover all aspect of achieving the perfect fitting skirt. You will be shown how to put in an invisible zip, linings, various waistbands and hem finishing’s.

Machine embroidery for beginners

This course is for those who wish to use machine embroidery for fashion garments. We will cover free machine embroidery and appliqué, as well as surface design.

Perfect fitting dress

This workshop covers all aspect of achieving a perfect fitting dress. You will be adapting a commercial pattern and be shown how to create your own design. I will also cover invisible zips and linings.

Curtains and soft furnishings

A professional curtain maker will come and teach at this one day workshop. She will cover measuring windows ,design, different headings, cushions and throws.

Christmas decoration and gifts

This class just before Christmas and is lots of fun you will get lots of ideas how to give your home a individual look for Christmas also I have lots of ideas for Christmas gifts for friends and family

ONE TO ONE TUITION

These classes can be in couture dressmaking, design, pattern cutting and are tailor made to your requirements

Summer Three day workshop

This three day workshop is for couture dressmaking techniques. You will bring a project such as a coat or suit, you will be shown how to make your project using couture methods.
